Alexis Atwell, owner of Salve Bodywork + Massage is a functional massage therapist in Kansas City that targets the source of pain, not just symptoms by combing the the art of relaxation with the science of healing. In simple terms Alexis' goal is to incorporate massage therapy modalities that prepare the client's body for optimal performance in daily activities. She has advanced training in TMJ/TMJD/Buccal massage therapy, with over 18 ceus from both in person training and NCBTMB/ABMP-approved providers. As a member of ABMP, Alexis stays committed to ongoing education and professional excellence in the field of bodywork. Alexis help clients with jaw pain, tension headaches, trigger points and neuromuscular imbalances. Her training includes massage techniques not only in TMJ/TMD but also intra-oral buccal massage - a precise, gloved technique that accesses deep jaw muscles to relieve chronic tension and improve mobility.
